Hello! My name is Ms. Bloemker and I am looking forward to being your child's teacher. I was raised in Rocklin, California and after high school I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I earned my Liberal Studies degree. I then went on to receive my Teaching Credential at Sacramento State, where I further developed my passion for helping students grow both socially and academically.

My classroom philosophy is all about creating a space in which students feel respected and valued as individuals and as members of a team. In Room 23, students will be challenged to create, explore, ask questions, communicate, and become deeper thinkers- all within a constructive community environment in which students are empowered to make positive choices and become independent thinkers.

I am so thankful to be joining such an amazing, talented staff. I look forward to working with you and watching your child grow this year!

I have been teaching for 13 years, and every year has been a rewarding experience.  I love to see academic and personal growth of the students throughout the year.  I am also excited to be a part of their love for learning.  I love to see their smiles when they really understand and feel proud of themselves.  In my class, we work as a community in helping each other to succeed and to cultivate a peaceful environment where everyone is appreciated and supported.  I see children as the TREASURE of our world!

It is with great pleasure that join Noralto’s teaching staff this year as a first grade teacher!  I am a native Californian and love living in the Sacramento area with my two dogs, Rex and Cody. I enjoy spending time with my family, two fur children, and wonderful friends. During the weekends, I enjoy bicycling, practicing my cello, exercising, spending times with friend, yoga, and going to the movies. I am always on the go, and you’ll rarely find me in front of the television!

I graduated from California State University with a BA in Child Development and earned a MA in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction.  During the past seventeen years, I have had the opportunity to work in the North Sacramento area in a variety of positions, all of which have given me the opportunity to become the teacher that I am today. I believe Education is a learning community made up of students, family, teachers, school employees, and community promoting respect, responsibility, self-discipline, compassion, perseverance, and giving. I am excited to join the Noralto’s learning community and look forward to meeting you! It’s going to be a great year and I can’t wait to teach your child!
