I have been teaching for 13 years, and every year has been a rewarding experience. I love to see academic and personal growth of the students throughout the year. I am also excited to be a part of their love for learning. I love to see their smiles when they really understand and feel proud of themselves. In my class, we work as a community in helping each other to succeed and to cultivate a peaceful environment where everyone is appreciated and supported. I see children as the TREASURE of our world!

En mi salon, trabajamos como una comunidad y nos ayudamos unos a otros para tener éxito y para cultivar un ambiente de tranquilidad, donde todos son apreciados y apoyados. Veo a los niños como EL TESORO de nuestro mundo.

It is with great pleasure that join Noralto’s teaching staff this year as a first grade teacher! I am a native Californian and love living in the Sacramento area with my two dogs, Rex and Cody. I enjoy spending time with my family, two fur children, and wonderful friends. During the weekends, I enjoy bicycling, practicing my cello, exercising, spending times with friend, yoga, and going to the movies. I am always on the go, and you’ll rarely find me in front of the television!
I graduated from California State University with a BA in Child Development and earned a MA in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. During the past seventeen years, I have had the opportunity to work in the North Sacramento area in a variety of positions, all of which have given me the opportunity to become the teacher that I am today. I believe Education is a learning community made up of students, family, teachers, school employees, and community promoting respect, responsibility, self-discipline, compassion, perseverance, and giving. I am excited to join the Noralto’s learning community and look forward to meeting you! It’s going to be a great year and I can’t wait to teach your child!

Ms. Tassinari - Room 20
Hello! My name is Sara Tassinari (Tah-sin-are-ee). The kids call me Mrs. T.
I was born and raised in the Sacramento area and am thrilled to be working at one of California’s Gold Ribbon Award Winning Schools! I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of classrooms from preschool to twelfth grade in the San Juan Unified School District and the Twin Rivers Unified School District. Most recently I worked at one of our neighboring schools, Del Paso Heights Elementary.
I am proud to be part of the strong first grade team at Noralto, which is committed to the success of all of our students. I plan to do my part as a member of this team by building relationships with all of my students, working with their families to help them reach their goals, and teaching the children the tools they will need to thrive as they move onto higher grades, and eventually college or careers.
I value teaching my students a wide range of subjects from English language arts and math, to science, history, art, social justice, and more. I strive to do so in ways that are rewarding for the students, in addition to being fun! If you are interested in observing or volunteering in our classroom please contact me so you can get in on the adventure!
